and go away
You make me think.
Lots.

Forgetting myself in intoxication
Of your presence
Of your meditative voice
That tells of stories far and wide
Of kindness, hope, confidence, beauty and strategy.
What a mix, I say to myself!

Of the times together.

Even in their death,
They’re sitting here,
Gorgeous and beautiful.

Reminding us of the temporal nature,
Of life,
And yet,
Living it all,
Until the end.

On Text Messages and Emoticons

It’s weird and amazing at the same time. You’re somewhere out there. I know of your existence by these letters you send me by the medium of electrons which themselves if isolated do not exist (Heisenberg principle). And yet your emoticons convey the thoughts and emotions as powerful as you were here.

I didn’t do anything big,
I just updated my profile picture.
True it was 15 odd years ago that I last changed it.
But you were overjoyed. Ecstatic! You reacted. Lots.
You said you wanted to see more. See not only half a picture but the full one.

On leaving and being left

Everybody leaves.
At some point.
It’s a revolving door. It’s people. Natural. Nothing special or disheartening.

Memories should be kept.
Cherished.
They allow us to be happy (or sad) even after the moments are long gone.
